Well, the sky is actually blue -for the time being- but after seeing these pictures of Newport Convertible Engineering’s (NCE) drop-top conversion of the Toyota Prius Hybrid our eyes are aching so much that we nearly went color-blind. The California-based speciality tuner’s proposition brings to mind those horrid BMW E30/E36 3-Series Bauer conversions of the late 1980’s – early 1990’s with its intrusive, but nevertheless necessary, roll bar and chopped window frames.
