2009 Hyundai Elantra Sedan to Debut in China

At this year’s China Auto Show that takes place in Beijing from April 20 to 28, Hyundai will present the facelifted version of its Elantra sedan. Compared to the U.S. market model, the Chinese Elantra features a completely restyled front end inspired from the i30 / Elantra Touring models while changes in the rear-end include the new bumper, taillights and the slightly redesigned trunk. Although it sounds quite logical for these styling changes to pass onto the North American market Elantra, Hyundai has not made any announcement of the kind. –More images after the jump

2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring Officially Revealed

The all-new 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring –or as Europeans know it, the Station-Wagon version of the Ford Focus-sized, the i30, was officially unveiled at the Montreal International Auto Show in Canada. Unlike the “Beach Cruising” Concept that was revealed at last year’s SEMA show (see here), the production version of the Elantra Touring won’t make any of your friends say “wow”. As with the Canadian market Elantra Touring, the US spec model will be offered with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine delivering 141 HP that can be matted to a standard 5-speed manual or an optional 4-speed automatic transmission. -Image gallery and brochure after the jump
