Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster by VERSACE

Following the Murcielago LP640 (Coupe) Versace that was introduced in 2006, Lamborghini and Versace have joined forces once again to create yet another special edition, this time based on the Murcielago LP 640 Roadster.

The new limited edition Murciélago LP 640 Roadster VERSACE, which will be produced to order, displays a pastel white livery and the Versace Greek key motifs on the lower part of the door and the front end of the car. Another key element of the roadster’s exterior is the transparent engine hood. Take a look inside and you’ll find white nappa leather bucket seats hand-embroidered with the Versace Greek fret motif.

The special edition Murcielago LP640 Roadster also inspired the Italian fashion house to create a new range of accessories that will be available at Versace Boutiques and selected Lamborghini showrooms beginning in November 2008. -Continued .

Hand crafted in black matte calf skin, Versace’s range include: a trolley bag, suit carrier, sports bag, as well as a briefcase, suitcase, gloves, driving shoes, belt, wallet, key ring, beauty case, hat and a pair of jeans.

Gianni Versace’s CEO Giancarlo Di Risio emphasised: “This new supercar and the exclusive Collection LP640 represent a natural evolution of excellence for both Versace and Lamborghini through the creation of these unique, one-of-a-kind projects.”

Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., said: "Our collaboration with Versace turned out to be an excellent experience and is an example of how we are pursuing our strategy of developing luxury products outside of luxury sports cars. We are proud to be in this prestigious, Made in Italy partnership with Versace, which adds to our other recent successes."

New IMSA Lightweight Alloys for Lamborghini Murcielago

German tuning specialist IMSA has launched a new set of mutli-piece forged alloy wheels designed exclusively for the Lamborghini Murcielago and the Murcielago LP640. The centre part of the IMSA Ultimo Lightweight multi piece is made of forged Aluminum, the outer rim of forged stainless steel, the inner rim of forged Aluminum. For the standard Murcielago, IMSA offerings include 19-inch, 3-piece alloys for the front wheels combined with 235/35 ZR19 tires and 20-inch, 4-piece alloys for the rear wheels with 345/25 ZR20 tires. –More pics after the jump

A car crash is an unpleasant site - whatever the make or model. However, we must admit that we tend to feel worse when it involves exotic cars like this Lamborghini Murcielago that bit the dust somewhere in China. Ironic detail: the flowers seen in the picture above were not placed by some random folks or by the owner of the car in memory of the Lambo. Jenna Jameson’s Lamborghini Murcielago for Sale on eBay: Plenty of treads left on these tires...

You all know who Jenna Jameson is, right? If by any rare chance the answer to that question is no, well, to put it simple, she’s commonly referred to as “The Queen of porn”. Unlike Jenna herself, this 2002 Lamborghini Murcielago that once belonged to the famous actress hasn’t clocked up many miles on its odometer – just 11,658 to be precise.

However, we aren’t sure whether or not the yellow-mellow Lamborghini starred in any of Jenna’s films. Now that we think of it, we wonder if the Lamborghini did indeed star in any of Jenna’s movies, would that deteriorate or improve the car’s value? 219 MPH – 352 KM/H On A Public Road With A Lamborghini Murcielago!

Boy, is this the dumbest thing you’ve seen or what! We mean, as if going 219 Mph or 352 km/h with a Lamborghini Murcielago on a public road (Phoenix, Arizona's Loop 202 freeway) isn’t stupid enough, this guy was also “smart” enough to film his “achievements” and upload the video on Youtube! Even though he removed the video after TV stations showed the story (see after the jump), an unidentified number of internet users copied the film and uploaded it on Youtube! -Continued

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Carbon Fibre Bodykit by IMSA

IMSA, a relatively new player on the Lamborghini tuning scene, has presented a design-package made from Autoklav moulded carbon fibre for Lamborghini's current top-of-the-range supercar, the Murcielago LP640. The carbon fibre aerodynamic kit consists of a front apron (spoiler), widened wheel arches (35mm or 1.4-in. on each side), integrated air ducts on the upper side of the wheel arches, side skirts, new rear diffuser and a new rear spoiler. All parts of the imsa-aerodynamic-enhancement program are either available in carbon-on-sight or can be painted in any color of choice. IMSA’s aerodynamic enhancement program is available from November 2007 on and will soon be available for the "standard" Murcielago as well.
