Smart ForTwo Wide Bodykit from Konigseder

Even though the Smart Fortwo gets all the attention for its miniscule size, a slightly wider body wouldn’t harm anyone. Austrian tuner Konigseder has developed a wide bodykit for the new Smart ForTwo that adds an extra 30mm on each side of the car along with some fancy pancy flower graphics -don't ask why.

This allows the placement of larger 5-spoke 17-inch alloys (7,5 x17 front and 9,5x17 rear). To make the car look more aggressive and to better its road handling credentials, Konigseder also added a set of Eibach sport springs that bring the ForTwo closer to the ground –now you can fit right under your neighbor’s Explorer with the 26’’ rims. -More pics after the jump

Huh? Konigseder Offering New Bodykit for Previous Generation Infiniti FX to Europeans...

Yes Infiniti will begin selling cars in Europe this October and yes the FX SUV will be among those cars available. Difference is that Infiniti will bring the new, 2009 FX into the European market and not the previous model. Having said that, we were quite confused with the photo that Konigseder matted to its official press release as it shows the 2008 FX fitted with an aggressive bodykit. Here’s what the company’s press release stated:

“Since Nissan launched the Europe wide distribution of the luxury brand Infiniti on the Geneva car show tuners are now naturally interested in these cars. In order to not only follow trends but also to set these it is necessary to be in the vanguard and so it is not surprising that Konigseder is already offering a finished bodykit for the FX series at the time of the European launch”

So unless Infiniti has decided to either bring both generations to Europe or import used cars from North America, we fail to see the use of this particular bodykit in Europe...

Konigseder Opel GT 300 PS

On the other side of the Atlantic, the Saturn Sky goes by the name Opel GT. Same car, different badges. So now that we’ve got that clear, let’s see what the tuning firm Konigseder has readied for the GT starting of with the engine. The Austrian tuner announces that the 2.0-liter turbocharged unit has been enhanced to deliver 300 PS (standard car: 264 PS), and no they didn’t say how they did it in the press release. A KW coilover suspension along with custom made Brembo brake system, complete the mechanical upgrades. -Continued

Konigseder has dressed the GT with a front spoiler, a rear wing, chrome detailing and fire stripes on the side of the car –we could have done without that. The GT sits on the shiny, 20-inch “Las Vegas” alloy wheels combined with Yokohama tires. Finally, Konigseder has added a set of… hand made wooden floor mats.
