2010 Camaro SS Caught in Production Form

A member of the “E90Post” bimmer forum has uploaded two pictures of a totally undisguised 2010 Camaro in SS trim. Just to set things straight, we traced the images back to a Camaro-loving website called “5thgen”. According to the poster who goes by the alias “Roaduscarnivorous”, the car was spotted at an unknown TV movie set and that Christian Slater was one of the actors that was there. We’re not sure yet to as which of GM’s V8 engines will occupy the space under the Camaro SS' hood, but if anything else, the "SS" costume looks mighty good. -One more pic after the jump

2010 Chevy Camaro SS Bumblebee from Transformers 2 Spotted Again

The revised 2010 Camaro in SS guise was captured once again during the filming of a scene from the upcoming Transformers 2 movie. The “culprit” this time was Flickr member Zacklur who was lucky enough to be awoken from the sweet voice of Isabel Lucas. As we can see clearer in these new pictures, Bumblebee has received the Camaro SS treatment which adds a relatively aggressive bodykit. See the video here or follow the jump to check out the image gallery. -Continued

Chevrolet Camaro Convertible: Official Pre-Production Images

After the release of some official “spy shots” of the pre-production version of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe a few months ago, GM has now released a pair of pictures depicting the 2011 Camaro Convertible, again in pre-production form. The Camaro Coupe is set to go on sale in North America during the first quarter of 2009 with the soft top Convertible following a year after.

GM’s people might disagree with us, but in our opinion they have overexposed the Camaro as we’ve been seeing or hearing something (official) about it every couple of months or so since it first broke cover at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2006. We’ve seen the Coupe Concept and a Convertible Concept, we’ve seen it in a movie (Transformers) and in pre-production form, we’ve seen spy pictures and even with a bodykit.

While it’s good to keep people on their feet about a new product, GM overdid it with the Camaro which doesn’t look as fresh and exciting as it did two years ago. What do you think?

Video: Revised Camaro Bumblebee from Transformers 2 Film

Here we go again; just as we were getting used to not hearing anything about the Transformers Movie, our friendly Autobot Bumblebee from the second installation of the Tranformer film called “Rise of the Fallen” has made its way into the internet well before the movie hits the screens in summer 2009.

The film’s producers –in cooperation with GM of course- have given the Camaro based Autobot a more aggressive look thanks to a Z28-like sport treatment that includes a new front bumper with a spoiler, a hood scoop and a slightly different paint job. See more images along with a small video after the jump. -Continued

Chevrolet to Double Its European Range by 2012

Chevrolet’s European arm is planning to double its model range and expand into new segments in the “Old-World” by 2012 in order to cover a 65% of the market. Speaking with UK’s Autocar Magazine, Chevrolet Europe’s Chief Executive Wayne Brannon said that the whole portfolio will be renewed by 2012 and that the company is particularly interested in creating an Opel Zafira-sized MPV along with a small SUV that would sit right under the larger Captiva SUV.

Other models that will be added to Chevrolet's european range will be the coupe and cabriolet versions of the Camaro -more as “halo” vehicles to improve the company’s so-and-so image and to draw customers to dealerships, along with the plug-in hybrid Volt.

2009 Chevy Camaro: Accessorized Prototype Model Scooped

Not even 24 hours went by after we showed you GM’s official video from its Accessories Design Studio in Auburn Hills where we got a sneak-peek of a customized 2009 Camaro, and the overly-promo-happy guys at Camaro5 managed to mysteriously obtain scoop pictures of the prototype without a trace of camouflage.

Amazingly, the guy or gal who took the pictures must have had plenty of time in his/her hands cause we get to see the prototype in detail. The images reveal that GM is working on a full bodykit for the Camaro that includes spoilers, a retro-style fuel cap, a different grille, striped decals and of course, new sets of alloys. –More pics after the jump

2009 Camaro Video: GM Preparing Wide Range of Accessories

In this video, GM’s Global Accessories Design Manager Larry Sully takes us on a a behind-the-scenes tour of GM's Accessories Design Studio in Auburn Hills, Michigan. There’s a lot of interesting stuff going on there, but what really caught out attention in the video was the part about the Camaro. Even though Sully only gave us a sneak peak of the actual Camaro that his team is working on, he did reveal that GM is planning a whole series of accessories for Chevy’s muscle car ranging from grilles and spoilers to ground effects. –See the video after the jump
